The award-winning local events business, Shropshire Festivals, have come on board to help with the Caldecott Arts Festival.

As part of their work to help us get the word out about the festival, they have invited us to have a stand at their upcoming Shrewsbury Food Festival – and we are very excited to be there!

The food festival is an annual event held at Shrewsbury’s Quarry Park, where 200 food, drink, crafts and homeware exhibitors, live music, kids activities, street food, animals, chef talks and demonstrations, exhibits and interactive activities come together in the 29 acres of parkland for a brilliant family day out.

It is taking place on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5thSeptember 2021, and we hope you will come and visit our area in one of the marquees near to the band stand.

We are planning some creative free activities for children of all ages. They can even meet our bear!

The team will be running sessions for kids to learn to be a cartoonist on the Saturday with Tim Sanders, and learning to be a caricaturist with Chris Ryder on the Sunday – both bookable on the day.

There will be modelling, colouring activities, collage making, printing and much more! We will also be joined by the storyteller, Jake Evans.

We want to let people know about our famous resident,Randolph Caldecott, and what to expect at our festival next year.
