A free family festival celebrating one of Whitchurch’s most famous residents – the world renowned artist and illustrator Randolph Caldecott.

Caldecott is an inspirational illustrator, artist, cartoonist, and travel writer who greatly influenced the illustration of children’s books in the 19th century. We want the Caldecott Arts Festival to make more people to be aware of this famous Whitchurch resident.

Meet the team

Nicknamed the Caldecotters, we are a group of local people inspired by the work of Mr Caldecott. We are on a mission to make more people aware of Whitchurch’s most famous resident!

We want Caldecott Arts Festival to be accessible for all by making it free to attend, allowing the whole town to come together for the celebrations. The Caldecott team are very grateful for support and donations to help facilitate the event.
